u dont need a credit card for the trial just set ur silver account up then it will tell u ur allowed a month free, thats it i got mine yesterday and it was easy to set up, ive also got the 12 month for when it runs out, never used xbox live be4 but its sooo cool well worth the money

yeah I just got mine a few days ago and it doesn't require a credit card.It's a month trial.If the trial goes out you can start a new profile and get another month free.I don't recommend it though.
