PCI Serial ATA Card

Ok just about to order a card for my PC but slightly confused by some of the tutorials as they state certain chip sets don't work. What exactly should I be getting?

When I look on DABS it says Serial ATA-150 and Serial ATA-300. I understand that these are different speeds but what one do I get?

Any links would be great (UK links please) to known working solutions to connect mt 360 DVD drive to my PC. I would like to have an external connector so I dont have to open my PC every time I want to backup a game.

More investigation has me thinking that loads of people are unsure about this. I have seen a few posts on this topic with no real answeres :(

Here is what I have found so far from other posts.

The following card is reported to be working but it looks as if it's only in the states:

SYBA SY-VIA-150 PCI SATA /IDE Combo Controller Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16815124022
Hitatchi (working - unconfirmed) Samsung (working - unconfirmed)

Hitatchi (not working - unconfirmed) Samsung (working - unconfirmed)

So it looks as if one of my questions has been answered. I need to get a Serial ATA-150 of some description.

Could I ask people to report back on what card they have working and where they got it. I will compile a list here. I hope :o)

This might not be much help, but here is the card I purchased from newegg.

VIA 6421L card I was told on another forum that it worked, so I bought one.. can't beat the price on it, and if it doesn't work, I didn't spend too much on it. I will be trying the flash on Friday, that's when the card will get here. Good luck with your search.

First place to start is what type of drive do you have in your 360 is it samsung or hitachi
