I used the steps in this topic http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/298323
to burn nhl 2003 using DVD Decrypter onto a DVD+R

I then inserted it into the ps2 and it would not load and said that the file was not in the ps2 format and to insert one that was

I am really confuzed am i not using the right type of dvd?
Do i need another program?

You need a modchip or Swap Magic to play backup games.

Plus once you have the Swap Magic or Flop Tops oe even a ModChip you well need to start using the - discs. The laser in the PS2 reads the - discs much easier then the + discs. Not sure why.
