hey all,
just a simple question here. after i do this firmware hack on my 360, do i have to dissassemble the 360 and reconnect the dvd drive to the computer everytime i want to back up one of my new games? because if this is true then that will get to be very annoying.

Its true because xbox or 360 games can t be read by a standard
DVD-RW.
With the original xbox there is a different way to FTP the files,
Here is a GREAT pdf file explaining all the steps in detail.
(You may not need it but im sure there are some fellas here that
do).
Expecially those still simply 'crossing' the wires.

(Includes a resistor fix instead of simply switching the wires,
That way you have less chance to 'brick' your 360 console.)

well then i think ill wait to do this firmware hack becuase i dont want to pull the 360 apart everytime i want to back up a game....let alone take a desktop back to college with me....

what are some good places to download the games from that are reliable? also if i download the games will i still have to use the ss merger in order for them to work in the 360?

one more thing, if i just hack the drive and download the games, the only hack i need to do is the one with the MTKFlash, and KDXv1.5, correct? i wont have to do the hack with the xtreme.bin and xtrm0800.bin? correct me if im wrong here guys....
