I renamed a VOB file to MPEG. It now opens up using Windows Media Player. But when I play the file from the hard drive, I lose some
of the recording. What am I doing wrong?
I did not use any type of converter software.
Thank you gogochar for the clarification. I renamed the file from
VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01_1.MPEG.
In my VIDEO_TS Folder, the file size of VTS_01_1.VOB is 1,048,544. The file size of VTS_01_2.VOB is 376,112. While veiwing this download from the hard drive, I can only view the file VTS_01_1 or 2 individually, but not continuosly.
What do I need to correct this?
For lack of a better way to say this, it's like I need to "stitch" the two VOB files together in order to view the full movie clip from the hard drive.
Again, the movie clip from the DVD that I used to record the movie works without a problem. Thanks for any help
@at_a_loss........ by renaming the VOB file you disrupted the DVD structure so you will only view that file. What you should do is convert the files to MPEG like Dialysis was showing you. This way you can have the whole movie or clip run consecutively.
