well the final chapter to the Xenosaga trilogy was released in Japan yesterday. Have you heard of Xenosaga? It is based off of Xenogears which SquareSoft made way back in 1998 for the PS1. The game became a cult hit, for its heavy religious overtones & use of animation. Whether you liked the game or not, Xenosaga was released for the U.S. PlayStation 2 in 2003. Many Xenogears fans liked the 15+ hours of video that was included & the heavy sci-fi feel of the environment. Xenogears II was a letdown, and didn't have the series writer Tetsuya Takahashi complete his work. Xenosaga III is supposed to be the finale that ties the story together & returns to the original ideas of Xenogears.
My opinion: the graphics look sharp, the music is very drammatic at the right points. The missions don't feel useless, just to take up filler. So much is thrown at you at one time, but it helps even out the story. This game feels like Xenogears, but with different characters. The battles are very fast! A good player can finish in under 2 minutes, and even the boss battles aren't overwhelming.

haven't had the chance to get my hands on it yet, but from the trailers I saw a while ago it looks like a good game, it'll be on my to play list for when I have some time!

Shame it's only in Japanese at the moment, so it's impossible to really tell how good the game will be, since you cant understand it.

Xenosaga was a good rpg series. I my self own the first and second and they were all right. The game was pretty lengthy too. But it's an alright series I juts hope they dont screw up on the third one since its the last one in it's series.

It's out in Japan as of yesterday, the U.S. in about 2 months. A torrent for both Japanese discs is already on the net.

one thing about this game, you need the save data from Episode 2 Japan to get Shion's swimsuit. and her higher levels at the beginning of the game. It will not work with the U.S. save data. Anyone know some Japanese sites for Codebreaker/GameShark/Action Replay?
