Im very sorry to bother you all - have been saving for long time to buy a psp - and the time has come!!

Have seen the talk bout homebrew and am very pleased that i can save money for games. but i get quite confused also.

I want to run this but am worried that it will 'brick' my psp - was after your guys opionion at whether im at risk if i use it - also which psp firmware version should i buy to have best results or should i just buy the latest psp out at the moment? thaks for your help guys!!

buy the psp version 2.5 or 2.6. since there is a downgrader for it. if u buy the 1.5 original firmware, it's going to cost alot. what did u mean by this??? and that it will brick your psp??? make sure that the 2.5 or 2.6 motherboard is compatible with downgrader. in order to check it, ur gonna have to open the umd slot and on the top right corner, see if there are any letter. if there are letters, it means that you cant downgrade. that's that!!!

Yeah but if he buys a factory 2.5/6 there is still a chance of bricking. So I would say 1.5, 1.51, 1.52, 2.00 and 2.01 will be your best bet.

no, i know a few factory 2.5/2.6 that downgraded

Yeah and I know a few that have bricked, so as I said there is still a risk.
