I was wondering if Linux will mess up my iPod nano, as you all know, it makes iPod capable of playing videos. So, please let me know if it messes iPod's up.

Linux will not mess up the iPod nano, unless you install the wrong version or you follow the installation directions wrong. But, if somthing does go wrong, just plug you broken iPod in and rund the updater and restore your iPod!
