I was wondering, I did some on-site research and googled but all evidence has led me to that some peeple cant use 4gb on a 1.5 and some can,

I was wondering if someone who kicked out the cash for a 4gb, does it work on ur 1.5??

I need to know before i dish out that cash!!

the memory stick works (from what i've read;i've only got a 2GB) but the 4gb hdd doesn't (for devhook) and the 4gb sticks are cheaper then the hdd's right now......

i know there are some people here that have the 4GB MS Sticks, and they report that they work, hopefully they'll see this thread later on and be able to post and comment on their experience w/ the sticks.

ye 4gbs sticks do work on v1.5 but no bigger will work on any current firmware do to the system format in the psp and it cannot support over 4gb

well when 8GB comes out 4GB will be cheaper, so i might as well buy 2 4GB for the price of one 8Gb since 8GB isnt supported on 1.5 right now.

3.0 will have support for 8GB MS, but i don't think 1.5 will ever get that support

well...to be able to use 8 gb mem stick on a 1.5...u will be able to emulate firmware 3.0 on 1.5 using the newest devhook of the future...but u wont be able to use it with ur 1.5 unless they make a prog that lets u such as mphgame loader which allows u to play 2.0- games..but thats diff cuz thats sony's limitation while the ms situation is true firmware uncapableness...(is that a real word?)

P.S.
I recommend ppl buying 2 gb mem stick...max 4 gb...8 gb...is just too expensive...unless wat ur tryin to do is turn ur psp to a ipod-like device...
