Thanks for the nice comment, I'm sure the mods will love you :)
Do a search before you post something like this - this is the kind of question that gets asked every single day (at least all the days I've been on this forum), and I got nothing against newbies, everyone started as one, but if you post questions without doing any research first (especially things like this), you WILL get flamed, I apologize for the exclamation marks, it was overboard, but I think the rest was fair.

I agree with Dan.. and while I can understand that you're new here and maybe new to the ps2 backup scene as a whole, there are loads of stickied threads at the top of the board, most of them will say somewhere that you can't use a backup copy of swap magic.. so useless to create one really.
I've been here at AD now for around 18 months and in all that time this question does get asked almost every single day because people want answers to "their questions" rather than doing a little reading and finding the info for themselves.
I can understand people wanting a quick answer for some things, but the whole reason people create the tutorials etc that get stickied is so that we won't have to keep answering the same questions over and over again... my advice would be for you to have a good look through the stickied threads at the top of the board and do some research.. i'm not being assy or anything.. just trying to help you out, you'll get your information you need quicker that way than to ask a question and wait for someone to answer you... and if you don't see anything that relates to your questions, then search for it using the search bar at the top... then if you still don't find anything, then post your question and we'll try to help you or point you in the correct direction.

Nope, just giving them options if you like... I spend way more time on XS than I do here and can help them via IRC channel etc. Basically I find it easier to help people there(no offense to AD) as I know where everything is and can direct them to the correct tutorials or give them one on one help.
And I'm not directing this at you dan.. you give good advice - But soemtimes people will ask a question on here about a problem they have and get 10 different ways to sort it out.. that doesn't exactly help them in my view as it's likely to confuse them when they try to mix and match the advice or don't know which one they should try first. I'm just trying to help them out :)

Hmm, yeah ok I admit I do that sometimes :P though you are right I think this place needs a few more mods - they do a great job and I respect them, but it's just impossible for them to visit all threads and control what info is given... a bit of a shame because I really like this place, I learnt all I needed to know about PS2 right here! :)

Yep me too, I learnt just about everything I needed to know from here way back and did my research.. actually I don't think I ever posted a problem myself, most of my posts have been to help others when/if I could - I have great respect for this place and will continue to visit and support it.. but there aren't enough controls around and sometimes people get away with flaming one another etc.. at least I and the other mods/admin at XS can stay on top of that and while we sometimes disagree on the best course of action, it's nowhere near as bad, LOL.

Sorry, xtreme-source (or XS for short) there are links to the website in my sig... specifically the tutorials archive made by the staff (I am one of them)
XS is an online community where we help others with their PC/console and other problems related to technology. We have a signature requests section, where the staff or members that are good with their photoshop skills can make you either an animated signature or a still signature. There is a games section where you can play loads of flash games online at XS. We're constantly looking at ways of improving the site and coming up with new and innovative ideas to help the members... plus loads more.. drop in and have a look, you don't even have to sign up if you don't want to, just browse the site(but you can't post as a guest either) - hope to see you there and that you enjoy the site :D
