360 to be released with hdmi? all versions or a new sku?

the article here states even with photo's of the 360 motherboard with hdmi. its unknow whether it will really be released, but its in ther plans. wouldnt that suck for all of you who baught a 360 already? because you'll have lesser model for the same price others are paying for a better one.
i think its ms's move to publicly show its behind and offers less, and that they are trying to advance themselves. what would be the point with an external HD-DVD (or the internal which they love to deny) when you couldnt output the movie in 1080i once ICT is enacted, and nothing but hdmi will output HD-DVD or bluray in 1080i/p (ittl be like 540p downscaled for "anti piracy"). they will release this with other small accessories and probably charge $500 for a "super version" or something.
ms released far too early, so for HD-DVD to even comply and be worth buying the attactme nt, you need an hdmi "super 360" or w/e they will call the next sku up.

note: nothing is officially confirmed, and this is only educated spectulation that you should know. i'm not trying to start a fight, i just want to know how you all feel about the possibility of an updated 360 like this after buying yours. this is completely logical, since hdmi is needed for much more depth in color and for 1080i video display as of ICT.

NO it wouldnt suck because most likely it could be bought as some sort of add on and plus the newere model if this article is even correct will likely cost more. I also read the article at teamxbox.com so we'll have to wait and see what really happens. Yes if they dont offer it as an add on or charge more for the 360 with hdmi support that would suck greatly.Why you posting in the 360 forum? you never post in here and the onething you do is something negative!ANd people still wonder why i love roasting the Sony fellas... oh about the 1080i with the HD-DVD external add on ...why are you b!tching about that when the lower ps3 model which has a fake me out worthless Blu-ray player wont be able to play in 1080i or 1080p once the ICT is inacted i think in 2012? Looks like yet another poor attempt to bash MS, sad part is people know you dont post over here with any sort of frequency and you just grabbing an artcile and running with it,maybe someone will take you seriously here if you every once in a while you gave credit to MS!!!Go back to the sony rooms with the flamewar nonesense your TRYING to start

if it is released as a different sku, then i cn understand not caring so much. but with the reduction of cost to manufacture at the stwitch to a 65nm process, it could be squeezed in t no additional cost.

i would love for you to tell me just how you can even have an external hdmi addon. the bandwith inside the cord far outway that in any port the 360 has, and it would not be a direct connection to hdmi, forcing either illegal emulation or descaling.

and then if your a legit customer and have the warrenty, just call support and tell them u want a new one under your warrenty. meaning if it's the same sku and they just add it on then u could get it too by bitching enough.

yes, but ms would change the sku numbers of the core and premium if it were to be in them, and not in a different "super" sku, so as the people with the older system dont have it in their warrenty. if it is to be real, the best thing to do is release a different..say..500 dollar sku with HD-DVD addon included and hdmi, and hell maybe a 6 month free xbl thing too.

It's an interesting article.$300-$500(I assume) seems like alot for an add on HD-DVD player ,but If people really want it that bad at least it's available.
