i have a movie on a video cd and the actual movie is a dat file, i want to put it on my psp, but the dat file doesnt work with my 3gp converter, does anybody know how i can maybe change this to another type of file then put it into my 3gp converter?

Have you tried putting the DAT file directly onto your MS? with the names stated on here to get to work. or google a DAT to AVI converter

hi, i didnt really understand what you just posted, the dat file is a movie , and the psp can only play mp4s?

are you saying if i put the dat file into the mp_root folder then into the 100mnv01 folder it will play?

thats what i thought, i downloaded this thing that changes the dat to an AVI but it takes ages, it was at 6% and had been running for 50 minutes, so im not gonna bother im just gonna watch it on pc and buy the dvd version instead tomorrow.
