Transferring songs from iTunes

I am extremely computer challenged. When I got an iPod, my room mate and I (who share a computer) decided, in order to keep to separate sets of music, to put one iTunes folder on one desktop on the computer and one on the other. However, since both of us like some of the same music, we wanted to be able to transfer music from each other's folders so we wouldn't have to purchase this twice. Does anyone know how to do this without using CDs? Could you please share some info.?

Put the songs you want to share in "Shared Documents" (In "My Computer"). The shared documents folder is accessible to all windows accounts and thus you can drag/drop/share tunes from there as you please.
