Got it working finally. I don't like how X is select tho. I have been used to using the Japanese method where O is teh select button. So I have to PM Art (the guy who made X-Flash) and he'll be able to tell me which files to switch out b/c my 2.50 emu had it set like that. I have a feeling it's just part of the config in one of the standard PRX files...
I got scared at first b/c I heard some of you saying the screen would go black and everything... when I first went to launch Midnight Club as a test, it froze twice and I thought this was a giant hoax or something awful like dat. Anyway, got it working 2.60 AND Coast to Coast and... It's not the greatest game I've ever played; I'm certainly glad I didn't spend all that time hacking it. I'm glad Booster finally came thru w/ 2.60 emu. I knew he could do it.
The game works CiSOd w/ the UPDATE folder deleted. I went right for the kill. However, sometimes the game lags at certain points so I just decompressed it. I've got a decent amount of room still on my Memory sticks, so I said screw it.
The game is hella fun tho. VERY fast paced and lots of twists and turns. AND - It's really fun to drift around corners doing like 130MPH...
It's great this 2.60 games is now finally playable. The one the hackers couldn't hack didn't need any hacking in the end. ha-ha Sony :p
That's it. Have fun if you got it, otherwise, have fun w/ any of the games you can now play you previously couldn't. That includes all you 1.50 owners who couldn't get the ISO working for Splinter Cell. It's much better to have it on UMD anyway. Takes up less room, don't need to worry about rip kits PLUS you get to see all the movies.
On one last note, I got the download from Rapidshare... The most disgusting picture I've ever seen in my life was in the registry. A cat bending over w/ his junk all hanging out from behind... I almost puked. Someone is really sick and oughtta make sure if there is a next time, they clean the registry. If you have a copy of this and wanna remove this pic (recommended) go to ms0:\dh\260\flash1\vsh\theme
That's it, homies...
Peace,
guano

@ amitguru:
no dude, read my post above... ISO BABY!!!! I don't remember what I tried it on b/c I was excited to see if it would work. I will say 333 b/c that's the way I normally launch...
I'm about to test the Splinter Cell UMD to see if that works. If it does, that's the game I will always keep in my UMD drive... Too large of an ISO to keep on an MS.

I just got Splinter Cell working via UMD @ 222. That's all I needed. It works perfectly; no lagging or anything. :)
Teh only thing I DON'T like about 2.60 emu is teh fact that everything loads a little slower... ISOs especially.
Welp, I'm outta here. going to play Coast to Coast. Have a great night all and I'll talk to you tomorrow sometime...
Peace,
guano

Yea really fun game guano, good thing you didn't upgrade your psp to 2.6 to play this, then you'd have to downgrade and stuff... so what other 2.6fw games are out there that this new fully loaded devhook can handle? I haven't heard alot of talk of any others...

I don't know of any... I would like to know more so I can buy more games. W/ the 20+ games I have, I never really need to go to the game store anymore. For some reason tho, even tho I heard it sucked, I still wanna try Disney's Cars. I've seen screenshots and it doesn't look too awful bad. Esp doing jumps and I LOVE racing games anyway.
@ dusk:
Did you try Coast to Coast yet? I thot it was ok at first, but I didn't realise it takes a minute to really understand how to drift in that game. I can drift all day in ridge racer and other games, but each game is a little different. So now that I've gotten the hang of it, I really like the game and it has easily become one of my favs. It's funny what a little waiting will get you. I told the dude at the gamestore when I bought Coast to Coast that I almost upgraded for this game twice. LOL You're right; I'm glad I didn't. within 2 mos Booster has outdone himself twice. Sick! And like McDonald's, I'm Lovin' It!
Peace

IDK... that's weird. *scratches temple* Yes, this does work for saving. Odd... I can't help you, but if you're interested in a NO AUTORUN and Button swap so X is select instead of O look for this text in teh link below:
DevHook v0.43 NOAutoRun BSwap USBHOSTFS CF Mod For PSP
now, go to http://www.ps2nfo.com
NOTE: All you have to do is take EBOOTS out of the DH_ENG and DH_ENG% folders and swap them w/ what you already have! Ignore everything else. It works! I've already tried it...

yea, get the drifting down. Once you do, you'll like this game even more... This game went from just ok to sick as hell once I got the drifting down. Also, this is one of those games where you don't know what you should do when you go into the menu b/c there are so many options, you know? I don't like those games where you're thinking "Where should I start??" When I get a game, I wanna get right into playing it- right into the meat and potatoes of it... When I started playing Coast to Coast, it looked like all the game options were little side games. Anyway, the game is sick and I love drifting around corners. In fact, it's just like Ridge Racer, but waaaaaay better. I kept racing and thot the game would unlock new cars and I was getting pissed b/c the game was pretty difficult at first and I thought I would never get a new car. Then I was like "Doh!" you go to the Coast to Coast shop and you can buy new cars, tracks, paints, etc. there. I bought my fav car the Ferrari 360 Spider.
I like the fact that this game is the ONLY game on the PSP w/ Ferraris. Tight game...

guano,
on that devhook .043 edit with the button swaps etc, could you get the vshex exit to 1.5 to work? It doesn't work on my PSP, you're supposed to hold squeare and home in the XMB to return to 1.5 right? Doesn't do anything for me, but all the other features work fine.

actually, I can't get it to work, either. I think that version of VSHEX was included from the 2.50 version since what comprises the 2.60 is actually a 2.50 dump w/ a reboot. So I think that's something they're working on. I'll post here as I find out more... Sorry I can't help now. Right now tho, the button swapping is my priority for my own personal set up.
For the VSHEX, keep checking http://www.ps2nfo.com. They'll have updates sooner than anyone else b/c all teh devs post there first.

Hey guano,
"The shadow runner has found the shortcut mentioned by BOOSTER,press home and hold L and/or R and up on the D-PAD while in a 2.60 game then select yes to exit and you'll be back at the 1.50 XMB without rebooting..."
Found this on Maxconsole, it does work, but is a proper bitch to hold L,R,up and home at the same time, it takes origami of the fingers, hopefully it'll get modded to home and square, which is much easier.
