Hello, when I install the driver for my video card, my computer starts to malfunction. After installing the driver for the video card, I restart my computer. When it restarts, it is unable to continue onto the Windows XP log on screen. Instead of going to the log on screen, a blue screen pops up and this is what it says:


A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ati2dvag

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usally indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

Pleace check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.

the latest nvidia driver?
nope thats an ati ask sam he'll know :)

start in safe mode and rollback to an earlier driver

the latest nvidia driver is awful i've put it on twice and taken it back off causes all sorts of problems
