I have two questions, hopefully someone could answer these for me.

1.) Is there an add on for windows xp sp2 so that you can synch xbox 360 and your computer, that will allow the same things as WINDOWS MCE or do you need MCE

2.) Can you use any other wireless adapters to connect to a network, or do you need to cough up the 100 dollars for a wireless adapter that microsoft offers.

Any help would be appreciated, sorry if these have already been adressed, theres like 65 pages of threads so this would be much quicker.

answer 1.

Yes you need media center edition.It doesn't support other os's.There may be some software eventually or even already but I don't know of any.

answer 2.
No you can't use any wifi adapter.There are ones other than the ms one that are compatible .Some are even a little cheaper Ive seen them as low as $60.Hold on a sec buddy I try to find you a link.

Ok I found a different one.It's 20 bones cheaper.I have the $100 one and have had no problems.also you can use your old xbox adapter if you want(see below).

actually u can stream music and pics from normal xp, its just videos that u need media center for.
www.xbox.com have what u need to do this as well go to the pc setup section

I have usb microsoft wifi adapter and it doesn't work, and i would have to drill a hole in my cieling and floor to run a cable, and so i guess i will just buy the 100 dollar one. Its on newegg for 90, i guess not so bad. im trying to get it set up so i can watch all the movies/shows on my computer on my tv. so i need to buy MCE and spend $90.
