iRiver H10 issues, help needed

Ok so here is my current delema. The FM radio works great, so i know its hard drive related. I updated firmware, deleted all my songs, put a few back on them and it still has "static" and skips. Mp3s should not skip at all. I believe my hdd is messed up. anything i can do to fix it? If i send it into iRiver what will they do about it?
