Can't play DVD+R

I have two stand alone DVD players, one is a Toshiba 1700, it won't play DVD+R media. My question is there a way to type set a DVD+R so that it can play on my Toshiba? Thank You in Advance:)Please send this to newbie DVD+/-. Thank You. Please, just close this thread in this Forum. TY

I, too, am having a similar problem. I can view the video of my DVD+R on my DVD player that is connected to my TV; however I can not hear the audio. (I do hear the audio when I play the DVD+R on my computer). What am I missing? Thanks for any suggestions!
