I am new to this and i am tring to figure out how to turn a ps2 game into a ps2 rom. I just bought a action replay max and it said that i can play roms. so i am alittle curouis of what i can do with it. Can anyone help me with this.

YOu can't do that, why would you want to turn PS2 games into a ROM in the first place (do you even know what ROM means?) when you can just play it directly on the PS2?

Tring to figure out how to either burn or something else. I have HD loader but it don't always work with all ps2 games. So i was tring to find out other ways.

Just backup the game to disc and play it off the disc (your PS2 is chipped, right?)

I was wondering. How do people create Roms for games? I know what they are in general but have always wondered how they made Roms of games that were discs (PS2,X-Box,etc) and chip games (Nint. 64,Sega Genesis, etc).

ROM only refers to games from a catridge/memory card because of the nature of the hardware...

For CD/DVD based you can just use a normal CD/DVD drive and extract the content as an image, for catridges you need special hardware to dump the ROM

So I take it for the hardware you would basically have a piece of hardware the cartridge plugs into and then that goes into a usb port or something like it and you have a "recording" of types to read the data?

Yeah you'll obviously need the hardware, then some sort of software to access the content of the catridge, but that's the basic idea :)
