360 gold or origional xbox live???

Hi I have a 360 and an origional xbox. I dont have live yet but intend on getting it. Iwas wondering though, if I get gold for my 360 can i use that gamertag for the xbox1? I would like to be able to download certain content for my xbox1 games on my origional AND 360 xboxes. Would this be possible if I got gold? If not, I would have to get an xbox1 live account and then recover that tag on my 360.

What are the pros and cons of doing this??

Any information is greatly appreciated.

yes i believe you can use the 360 Gold can be used on the orignal xbox...get the gold for the 360 it would be a better decision.

No you can't use a gamertag made on a 360 on an original Xbox. You can make a gamertag on a Xbox 1 and port it over to a 360.

oh you are exactly right, i got the 2 confused....but getting a subscription code for the original xbox is going to be hard...xbox has stopped making them so the only thing you will be able to buy is a game with a 2 month in them....
