Gateway Solo 5300 P3 750 mhz + 256mb (pc100) memory. Running Windows XP / 2000 (tested both)

These tests apply to all media types. AVI WMV and DVDs.

Running DivX = framerate P50roblems (too slow)
Running WMP9 = framerate Problems (too slow)
Running WAMP = TOUCHY framerate can play fullscreen results in framerate problems.
Running POWERDVD = framerate problems.

This should not happen I dont think. I would hope a 750 mhz processer can manage playing back video in any of these applications.

The videocard is a s3 savage ix. With 8 megs of memory on it, (onboard card) Yes the proper drivers are installed.

Any ideas why this would happen? Ideas on how to fix this? I know it can play back video in totem or gxine (when running linux)
