i didnt play my psp 4 a couple of months and when i tried to go on the internet it didnt work.

Try use the "EASY" setting instead of custom.

um..... well i dont have a wireless router so i dont know much about them, my only experience was when i was in Cardiff and was scanning and found loads of connetions lol

Just use the Scan option, and you should see your access point.

Maybe this is a problem with your wireless router?

Oh so thats the problem.

To go on the internet you need a wireless access point. A wireless router creates a wireless access point

How did you get on the internet before then?

Yeah, so do you own a wireless router?

Or were you using someone elses.

If so, they have probably either changed their SSID, or that person isn't there anymore.

I cant get my PSP to connect to the internet. I have a connection and it has 100% signal strength. When I test it, fails and says DNS problem. But I can take my laptop and connect no problem. There are no security settings so thats not it. Can somoen help me? PLEASE?

Did you try using the custom settings and specifying the IP Address manually?

Well I would but I dont know where to go on the computer to find the IP address. Is that what the DNS is? The IP address? All I know is that my laptop works but the PSP doesnt.

Do you know the Gateway Address of the router?

yes I have a wirless router at the FD. Thats where I get on the net with my laptop.

Check my guide.
It tells you how to find the Gateway Address of the wireless router.
Then increment the last digit by one and use this as the IP Address of your PSP.
