Hi, guys! Can someone explain me why I have so low download speed? I have 512/128 wireless connection and Azureus 2.4.0.2 configured thru Wizard with Max_Active=2, Max_downlds=1, Max_uplds_per_Torr=3. I have port 50505 open and proven NO NAT problem. I?ve taken a ?good? torrent ?Simpsons Season 16? with Seeds=98 and Peers=251, but I have only 5-8 kBps download speed, about 5 times less then average swarm speed. What can be wrong? Maybe I have an error in my DNA but DNA analysis is too expansive :).
Thanx.
Next time just tell us about what you're downloading, not WHAT you're downloading, but I'll help youz.
First off, you're only capable of about 50k/s, so keep that in mind.
Next, the speed of the swarm isnt' reliable, don't trust it.
Next, there are a LOT of leechers and few seeders on that torrent, find one w/ a ton of seeders and few leechers to test your speed.
Next, do you have ANY firewall on? Windows default included? This is normally a problem.
Next, have you enabled header encryption? It can be found under "options"/connection/encryption in Azureus. Turn it on and check BOTH checkboxes underneath to enable recursive rules.
Next, what do you have your upload set to? It should be set to 12 or 13, nothing higher.
Do all those things and report back. Also, you can check out the first link in my sig for my BT bible, and while you're there you're welcome to read my articles on client tweaking.
BTW folks...this is how you ask for help...you demonstrate that you've tried to help yourself, and you start a new thread. CHEERS to Kvadro!
