So I just read my Nintendo DS lite manual about cleaning my screens, and it says to use ONLY water. But before I read that, I had been using Dust-Off Monitor Wipes, and now I've noticed that the bottom touch screen on my DSL seems a bit fuzzier, or as if there is some residue that on the screen that makes it slightly blurrier than the top screen, even though I used the wipes on both screens.

Am I completely fucked? Or is this reversable, I've tried wiping with water, but to no success. Or perhaps the bottom screen has always been slightly fuzzier than the top screen because of the touchscreen overlay. Can someone load up a game real quick and like brain age or mario kart and let me know if the bottom screen looks not as clear as the top screen.

It looks as clear as the top screen. I used my brother's DS Lite just the other day.

Do those monitor wipes you used have any chemicals soaked into them? I haven't used them before.

it doesn't say on the tub if it has anything in them, but I'm assuming some sort of alcohol solution as there is a caution on them to avoid contact with the eyes. Maybe the crappy screen protectors I was using left some adhesive residue that won't come off, I just ordered some Hori ones today, since the crappy ones kept getting scratched up.

Oh well, I was thinking about buying my girlfriend a DS lite soon, so maybe I'll just buy myself a new one, and give her this one, since it works completely fine, I'm just a little bugged since I just picked up my new toy a month ago.

My brother found out the hard way that adhesive screen protectors don't work too well with alcohol on his blue DS right before he sold it. I've just been using the cloth I use to clean my glasses for removing dust and prints from my screens.

I know there's a way to get it off, but if it's all over your screen, it's probably just going to stay there now.

The best thing to use to clean the DS screen are those eye glass cloths. You can find them for like $1 for a pack of 50 disposable at any drug store. Just hold the DS screen close and blow hot breath on the screens to fog it a little and gently wipe away the dust and smudges.

also the DS touch screen is a little blurrier than the top screen since there is a touch sensitive layer above the bottom screen. Its not that much different, but i did notice it out of the box (thats a reason i use the top screen to play GBA games). but a fingerprint on a TV 10ft away bugs me :P
