hey everyone , i just burned a copy of action replay cdr based game to a dvd following a tutorial i found here. It works fine but when i get asked to insert the game it just stays in the launching game screen forever. does anyone knows what its happening? the reason i burned the game to a dvd was because my sm cd is version 2.0 and it wont work con my Slimline.

Which guide did you follow? I assume one of these two:

Personally I have never tried to convert AR to DVD so I don't know if it works or not... but I think to use AR with a backup don't you need a hacked/special version of AR?

I did follow the guide , i'm just not sure if rebuilding action replay would have cause the problem cuz it boots perfectly.

So is your AR a burnt CD-R or original? I'm not quite sure whether you meant that the game is a CD based game or whether you burnt AR to DVD...?

i took Ar original image and put it to a dvd

When putting a CD onto a DVD you need to change the media checks for it to work.

Is this a regular Action Replay, or the AR MAX? Cos if its AR MAX, then you need a Swap Magic cracked version.

think you need a cracked AR Max for swap magic to work from memory. have a search for this

thankz for the help , i will try that version later but i also found that none of this AR,Gameshark,codebreaker backups . dont work on slimline. will an original work? (if so wich one is the best to buy)

backups should load, they work fine on my V12. If it's a CD problem it could be that the laser is dying
