hi people ive just started using utorrent but its not downloading very fast:
i have 1mb ntl broadband and can download at 120-130kbps so how can i speed up my downloads(i suppose the settings right)
please help me

no im getting bout 10-25kbps and the thing im downloading has
seeds= 1413
peep= 2203
so i guess that it should be getting atleast 50kbps+ shouldnt i.
+ is UTORRENT the fastest torrent downloader if not what is?

Look at the link i posted...
And there is no "FASTEST" torrent client.
Speeds depend on your internet speeds and what torrent sites you use.
Now, go read the article i linked to, it has all thhe info you could possibly need! :)

ive followed the post u advised me to look at but need to no 1 thing. what do i set the conection type as(xx/128k) is what i have it set at, but is this right

xx/1mbit should be your setting, IF you have true 1mbit *equal speeds up and download*

so just so i get my head around this, i should follow the bandwidth not the download speed.
cus i had the settings set up at xx/128k thinking thats its the download speed it wanted me to set it up as

Well, is your upload speed as high as your download ? because it is asking you to tell it what your approximate upload speed is.

ive tested my speed here and this is what i get

heres what i get does this help mate:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 960 kbps (120 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 91 kbps (11.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
+ does it matter that im in the uk and none of the tests was for the uk

THERE ARE NO ACCELERATORS FOR ANY BITTORRENT CLIENTS, PERIOD.

LOL......The sites don't do anything the uploaders are the people hat carry the file,and once you finish you will become a seeder....If there are more seeders than peers than you will most likely get your maxed out speeds

ok thanks people i got 1 more thing to ask i take it that different sites have different downloads yer so is their a site that searchers them all in 1 go or a site that has the best rating (most downloads)
