Hello, everyone. This is my first post at the Afterdawn forums (though far from my first visit to the site). I hope someone is able to help me!

I am using Nero 7 Ultra edition with a Plextor PX-750A drive. I would like to set the booktype setting to DVD-ROM for when I burn a DVD+R. I have searched this forum for answers, and they all suggest to go to Nero Burning Rom, go to choose a recorder, and change it to Automatic under options for the designated drive. When I click on options, this is what I see:


As you can see, the optiion to change the booktype settings is not available. I thought that perhaps this meant that my drive was not compatible with bitsetting, but this is not true. I checked the drive specifications, and it is indeed compatible.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Kaepora
You can set the booktype in Nero Tool Kit>CD-DVD Drive Speed>Extra>Bitsetting. Have a blank in the drive too.
You should be able to set it there.

i have a problem with what you said.
i tried to set the booktype but everything is greyed out. why is this?
i'm using Nero7 Ultra 7.0.0.0
