I just recently bought a AR MAX 32mb memory card so i could transfer all my game saves to one memory card. but when i try to load my data in a game it either doesnt read or it creates corupted data on the card. Whats worse about this is that i cant even delete the corupted data on the card now, and i want to play my games with the info on the card. is there any way to fix this problem or is there a way to format the memory card to get rid of the corupted data.

I have the 64mb AR MC and never have problems with it (except the slow speed you experience with the AR MCs). To format the card use AR Max or you could try deleting the files using uLaunchELF or ExecFTP

There are a couple of Homebrew apps as well, for formatting your MC. Only one I remember the name of is 'MC Killer'. I think Codebreaker can format as well.

But yeah, I've got 2 32Mb cards (buy one get one free at HMV right now) & 1 16Mb card & never have problems with those, except the 16Mb one, which is really old, so can be expected to some degree.

Maybe you've got a faulty one?

PantherX youll find MC killer in that link in your sig.

I'm thinking about buying a sony 64mb MC myself. 2x 8mb cards dont cut it when you have over 100 games lol.

It's an image file so you need to burn it onto a disc (I use ImgBurn for this). I haven't used this program for a while so I can't remember exactly how to use it, but from memory it was pretty easy to use

I have had a Max Memory 32MB card for a year now and had no problems at all transfering the saves from other cards and using them.
Not sure why yours didn't work.
Try a tool and reformat it and see if that helps any. Although i have heard of people doing this and loosing a lot of the 32MB of space which could cause more problems.

I thought that was only the 64mb ones that if you formatted with AR Max you'll end up with 32mb or something?

But anyway, like I said earlier try deleting the files with uLaunchELF, that way you can get rid of the files without formatting your MC

I had the same problem with my AR 64mb mem card. I kept getting corrupted data on it and it would not allow me to copy from my sony cards to it. It was a dodgy card, I had to return it for a replacement which works perfectly now although a little slow. If you cant get it replaced try out the tools mentioned in other posts.

It does sound like a dodgy card to me, I never had to do anything with the card I have here, nothing ever gets corrupted or lost
