I heard that you could boot your PS2 backups with either a memory card or a usb drive. if this is true please let me know...

Hmm, yeah you can, with a memory card exploit that uses an original high TOC PsOne game as a trigger, but I could never get it to work even with a simple step-by-step guide. Dont think it works with all games anyway.

thanx for the link dan but from what i read at that site is that the MC Exploit only boots games that r in PAL format if this is true then it wont work for alot of my games...

Just get a good modchip instead
those exploits will be sketchy at best.

I thought the MC Exploit read games in both NTSC and PAL? But I agree with steimy, a good modchip is a lot better and easier to use

yeah i guess your right with the mod chips but i just dont want to open my PS2 let alone put a chip in my PS2 that sony may one day find a way to detect. If u have a direct link to the MC Exploit I would be most greatfull (a tutorial would be nice too). If it doesnt work to my likeing ill bite the bullet and buy modchip. Also any suggestions on the best modchip to buy would be helpfull...:)

Matrix Infinity or DMS4 Pro, and if you want to play online games, Crystal Chip is the only one that lets you do that without doing anything to the game itself

cool dan thanx, but whats this i hear about ppl that have mod chips have trouble playing movies or somthing to that nature...

not the last time i checked :)
even if you don't get the CC you can always patch games and play them with any modchip, but the CC's ability to play online games without patching them is attractive to some (especially those who are lazy to patch games)

thanx alot dan ill definetly take a look into the CC now that it seem to be flawless from ur description. i just hope they still have some avalible for the older PS2s cus im not touching my slim one thats for sure lol. anyway if anyone has a direct link to the MC Exploit I would be most greatfull (a tutorial would be nice too) PLEAAAAAAASSSSSSEEEEE!!!! with suger on top :)

thanx yall
although it is a great tutorial i allways thought that the purpose of the MC Exploit was so that u didnt need to use the swap magic disk (or in they're case CDloader). but according to the forum u still have to use it one way or another? am i wrong about this or is there a way i can use the MC Exploit without a slide card or fliptop or whatever??

you can use cogswap with MC exploit, which means you don't need swap magic, but you still need something like the slide card or flip top
