I have a HP ZD8000 TV tuner that I'm trying to make work with a Sharp Viewcam (Hi-8). My ZD8000 has a DVD burner so what I'm eventually trying to do is hook my TV tuner up to my camcorder then my laptop up to the TV tuner and transfer the video from the camcorder to my laptop then burn it to a DVD. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how ? I have those Red/White wires with the headphone looking thing on the other side. Sorry for not knowing much about this but thanks so much for any help anyone can offer.

red and white wires are for stereo (red) and mono (white) sound, you need a yellow cable (video) to do video out, check out your manual on the camcorder it may not support video out, if that is the case then you will have to have the tapes professionaly made into dvds
