Can't Start "Nero Burning Rom"

I start "Nero StartSmart" then i click on "Nero Burning Rom" under "Applications" then a few seconds later it goes back to "Nero StartSmart" Anyone know why this is happening?

Is this a new problem - like have you been able to access burning rom before from smart start?
Which version of Nero are you using ex. 6.6.0.18 or 7.0.8.2?

When you open smart start look in the bottom right hand corner - you'll see an icon w/ a flame in it. Click on that - you're version # will be listed there.

What's changed pc since you were able to use burning rom?

Your right Gwen - just checked Nero 7 - it does show Nero 7 though - no version #. Hmmm where did they hide it?

Nero 6 shows this when clicking on the product center icon:

Do you know where the version is now listed for 7 besides the log?

I checked a few places and couldn't find it - though it's probably right in front of my face somewhere.

editted to add: Found it - Nero ToolKit>InfoTool>Software tab (6 also lists it there too).

beside Nero Burning Rom it says 7.2.3.2
beside Nero StartSmart it says 3.2.2.0

if there is anything else you guys need to know i'll find it :)

Ok guamon here's 2 choices - both involve uninstalling & running the clean tool. I would then run a registry cleaner too after Nero's clean tool.
If you don't use Vision you can try reintalling the version you have. I still use it and burning rom alot w/o problems (exception being mp3 audio conversion which is still a problem)
Or
Install version 7.0.8.2.
