i/o magic DVD burner with lightscribe not burning labels

I'm having a problem burning the labels on my lightscribe DVDs since I installed a microsoft security program which was screwing up all of my periferal hardware. I uninstalled the security program but the lightscribe still won't burn labels. I also uninstalled the patin couffin engine because the driver wasn't installed correctly. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I've called I/O Magic and they sent me an updated driver, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
