Hello
I have a psp and i only have 1gb of memory and i find it very expensive 2 buy memory card so i was wondering if it is possible to compress mps files or to comvert my mp3's so they ocupie less space?

.mp3 is about as small as it's going to get. although u could get somethin that converts mp3's. And then change the bitrate on them, most mp3's are 128-192 kbps. You can lower the audio quality to say 92 kbps. And then you will have mp3's that arent over 1mb or two. I do that with my mp3 player as it only has like 128 mb of space. Sonic stage or jetaudio do a pretty good job :) hope that helps.

Wait, isn't ATRAC 3 smaller than MP3?

Sonic Stage will convert to ATRAC 3 too.

It's not necessarily smaller, but the reason they are so small is because of the bitrate. It's not very high. You could get an mp3 to be smaller then an atrac if you used the right bitrate.
