I have had this same situation every time

1, I have to switch the jumpers to flash the bios. The chip moves or what ever and this happens, I have reseated it and it usually works

2, I have the pogo pin and have noticed on the bottom side that one of the solder joints was broken, I have only had to resolder it once,

3, Every once and a while when I pull the chip my xbox acts a fool, if reseating the chip doesnt work I suggest unplugging the power cabl from the motherboard and unplugging from the wall for 10 min.

I just recently flashed my xecuter to the newer bios to play game on the harddrive, I went 2 days with my xbox down, I work on computers for a living and we clear the bios and nvram the exact same way. It worked for me. I dont know why my xbox will not boot up without the excuter now, it says the xbox needs to be serviced, I put the chip back in and its boots every single time. I move my chip out of alignment same red and green, I unplugged everything and it works. Will this work for everyone, probably not, but Im passing along my experiences,
