I just installed my new 300 gig hard drive using aid 3.0 to my xbox with a zenium soderless chip. I have everything installed and everything is working great but I seem to be short on the gigs.

C: 322.16 MB free
E: 4,878.38MB Free
F: 120,277.70 mb FREE
G: 0 free

I used aid format G and prepare G and it came up with an error.

what did I do wrong if anything and what do I do to correct it?
ty again the ridges for telling me about that great program!!!

Try reformating it, But leave out G: this time. You want all the extra space not being used for C: and E: to go to your F:

So if I set it up right, I will be only working off the f drive and nothing else? Will I be using aid 3.0 to do this format? How do I leave G out? I'm a xbox lammer so baby steps are appreciated!!!

TY

I have never used AID, i used Slayer 2.6 so i only know how that one works. But yes it should be AID that does the format. And you will be using various folders, but F: is usually where all your apps & games will be put. Some people also use E: for this.
The way mine is set up it has C: which is the main partition.
Then i have E: which i think is used for something, although i do no remember what. Then i have F: which has the most space of any partition and is where all my apps, games, dashboards and such were installed.

Q. Using Softmod Installer Deluxe alongside Auto-Installer Deluxe
A. Once your Xbox is softmodded, you can proceed to use Auto-Installer Deluxe to customize your Xbox a little more to your own needs. Just a couple of things to remember before you do:

If you Xbox has a stock standard Hard Drive, you can only use Partition E to store programs on.
You might not be able to format your hard drive, so you would have to actually delete all the files from a certain partition if you wanted to clear it.
One of the best features of Softmod Installer Deluxe is that the BIOS included with the installer will search for C:\evoxdash.xbe and E:\evoxdash.xbe, unlike most of the other softmod packages which put their dashboard at C:\Dashboard\default.xbe or E:\Dashboard\default.xbe. The reason I done this was because this is the way that a mochipped Xbox would be set up, and in that sense being more compatible to upgrade to another dashboard, either with Auto-Installer Deluxe or most other Auto-Installer packages available (Slayers, X-Disk etc.)

If you run into problems or want more detailed instructions go to the link below and ask, they are very experienced modders.
