i juz bought a PSP fw 2.5 and after reading a lot of threads on this forums i thought of downdating or downgradin my psp to a 1.5 in order to play ISO`s., but 1st i want to know if it is safe to downgrade having the fw version installed already and not upgraded, if it is somehow safe. could any one tell me how..cuz im not that gud this kinda stuff your help is badly needed...and appriciated

You should be fine as long as you do not have a TA-082 motherboard.

go here to see if your psp has a TA-082 mobo. If it does NOT have this version of mobo then you will want to upgrade to 2.6 then downgrade it. I guess it only works on psp's with an upgraded firmware, not one that comes stock with 2.5/2.6

Upgrade to 2.6. Then get the downgrader and downrgade. You do have an old copy of GTA:LCS right. You need that in order to downgrade.

Download the 2.6 update and Put it into PSP-GAME-UPDATE

Yea, you need GTA for anything on 2.6 that involves homebrew.

thier is some guide to tell the unpatched version apart. I think the the
unpatched has color on the disk and the pictures are bigger. you should confirm this on PSPupdates.com
