What do you do if your system won't play halo2 or any other 360 game because it says unauthorized disc, disc needs to be clean, and the disc is not defective or scratched. I already tried to contact microsoft but the just send you alot of bull over the web and I tried calling them and I would have to hold for eight and a half hrs. on the phone.
HELP!!!

A) Bad Disc, possibly damaged
B) Damaged 360 (Working those things in a gamestore was a nightmare, I dealt with so many "But I didn't do anything wrong with it..." customers on that system, just in the first few months after launch, grr.)
C) It really *shouldn't* be the Hard Drive, more likely, I would see if you're connected to XBox Live, if you're not, that's a surefire one. I say that it shouldn't be a hard drive issue, because of an early statement from M$, stating that Halo and Halo 2 were the 'only games actually programmed into the system at production time' which one would assume indicates that the HDD is not necessary to play those two titles, but I could be wrong there.

Hopefully one of those things helps.

Again, it's strongly rumored (Due to statements made by the BC programming team) that the 360 has compatibility for these two specific games, right out of the box, without needing a hard drive. I don't know if there's truth to that. But it could have something to do with the problem.
