Hello Everyone,

After doing a forum search and not finding what I was looking for I'm posting. I file share rock videos and alot of then have no file extension. I hate making coasters because of this. Is there a program that can scan a file and tell me what file type it is? Also, I heard that Nero 7 can link pt 1 & 2 files together.

God I hate being a n00b!

Thanks to those that reply,

:D

I started with nothing, I still have little left.

Hi,
AVIcodec (I use AVIcodec v.1.2.b110) could help you identify which file you`re using.
Once installed, double click the desktop icon and drag and drop your file in the window.
It tells you what it is.
Hope this helps

Yeh, Nero can join parts together. For example 2 SVCDs:
In Nero select "Remake a DVD".
Select from new window :"Recode DVD`s & Videos to Nero Digital"
Select "Import files"
Find and mark your file , and select at bottom right "Add Title" (Do so for multiple files) - at the bottom you should see a line telling you how big the new file is. Make sure you have the right running order if it`s a two-part film for example.
Select "Next".
Check the boxes ie which burner, Temp.file etc..
Insert Disc and burn.
I use re-writes at present so if there was something wrong I can replace it without throwing money for discs away.
Don`t worry about being a Newbie -I am too. What I don`t know I ask
Hope this helps
