Hello All,

I've been backing up my discs for a few weeks now. My PC has had no problems at all reading the retail discs that I'm ripping from. All my copies play fine on all 3 of my home DVD players, but some of my copies are getting a "No Disc" error on my PC. Not all of them, but some. Also, If I keep ejecting the disc and restarting it I can sometimes get them to play.

Now here's the funny thing... I can play ALL my backups with PowerDVD, even when DVDShrink & Windows Media Player have the "NO Disc" error.

Any suggestions?

Same problem here recently. Install a 2nd DVD ROM WITHOUT a burner and use to read the disc in PC. Then you can access apps to work with it. Don't ask me why! Just try it! lol!

Try Getting a DVD Head Cleaner its like the CD head cleaner but for a DVD. and make sure u dont have a lot of dust build up.

I also give my DVD a firm tap for it too read the disc while its own and trying to load cause sometimes it does not pick itup. I do not recommend this method.
