I have just figured out and am able to play my fight night round 3, but seems that everytime I use DVD Decrypter to iso-read it does fine right after that iso-write the games have been under4.30gb it just won't bootup, media I use are verbatims DVD+R 8x and sony dvd +r \ dvd-r's . It seems I have to rebuild again even if they are under 4.30gb for them to work. I have artec burner and don't have booktype options for this burner don't know if that's the problem but its annoying just rebuliding when they don't need to be rebuild . Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated. Thanks
agree with above. If you can not booktype you are probably better off with a Verbatim 8X DVD-R disc.
And updating the burners firmware, if any are available, will really help out with getting better media compatibility and a better burn job.
If you are using Swap Magic then some games do require rebuilding, but not that many. A modchip you should not have to rebuild any.
Swapmagic 3.6 fliptop
Verbs mcc03,sony08d1
4x for 8x discs
Do get me wrong they work only if there rebuiltbut the doesn't need to done they fit on4.7 gb disc
Like Steimy said because you're using Swapmagic games like Fight Night Round 3 4.35gb (according to PS2HD.com) may need to be rebuilt because of its size in order to work with Swapmagic.....
No what I'm telling you is SOME games req rebuilding in order to work with Swapmagic... could be a table of contents issue.. If the original disc has a large toc like Sonic Heroes and some others then you either
A) Refresh the TOC when loading (press the eject button and insert orignal game with LARGE TOC) and then insert the backup and see if it works
B) rebuild the game and lower the TOC and all will be good
i would say only about 5% of the games you will back up will require rebuilding. Even when using Swap Magic.
Updating the burners firmware may help you. check here.

find out what you currently have by doing this.
Go to mt computer and right click on your DVD drive
from the drop down menu click on properties
some computers are different, but one of those tabs will show your current firmware version. My tab here at work is marked "settings"
It will be a number like R603.
Then try burning a game without rebuilding it.
You may also want to try Verbatim Datalife 8X DVD-R media.
I have done many games and there is just no way that every one you do should need to be rebuilt. If you find that nothing else works then i suggest you download a tool called Gnie Expert. It will rebuild the game for you and many people have said it is a great program
I'll just save some hassle and disc by rebuilding and that way I know they'll work.just figure if there is a way of justripping and burning without wasting discs . Thanks
ok found out that my burner will write great iso without being games being rebuilt in Nero, for some odd it does like DVD Decrypter to burn iso or maybe don't have the setting to burn images i don't know but thanks for the help.
