I Have a Weird Battery Problem!

Ok, well my iPod Mini runs out of battery WAY too quick these days.
I recharge it fully (until the display says charge complete) and it lasts about 2 hours!!
Day 1-Charged Fully-Used about 30 mins
Day 2-About 30 mins
Day 3-About 30 mins
Day 4-About 30 mins
And it says the battery has finished and shuts off I keep on restarting it and it runs for a few more hours!!!
I have had it for about 14 months and I don?t use it that heavily just occasionally.

when the ipod is flat the i connect to pc the ipod makes a beeping noise for a few seconds and restarts

please help, do i need to replace battery or is it something else?

the only thing i can say is the battery wont hold a charge. check here for a replacement. Its do it yourself so i hope your a fellow geek.
