I will be buying a new xbox 360, with harddrive and hd cables,etc...

My ? is where is the best place to get these, I've read you want to stay away from XXX versions of it due to errors and such, So would Best Buy/ Circuit City be the best place to get them,(50 mile drive 4 me) or would a wal-mart be okay to purchase?

Either is good you could also try a game store like eb games or gamespot.Why drive 50 miles when you can shop online?I'm pretty sure you get free shipping for spending so much too.

Okay, thanks.

Shipping is a pain, I live way out in the country (15 miles from closen't town) so i have the great country address of XXXX CR N XXXX E. And after about the 10th time of getting calls about not finding my place and about picking up package , i just gave up.

Oh I see your point.Well most stores espesially major retailers carry the new one and not the faulty old xxx one your reffering to.No doubt in my mind you will get a good one from walmart.Also make sure to update it via xbox live because it's free!This will ensure you have the latest and most stable release.

Keep in mind if you plan on hacking it though that upgrading via xbox live can be a bad thing.
