Hello,

I have done some searching of the forums but at a lack of not knowing exactly what to search for, im not finding any good results.

The issue is that when ripping two different titles to my hard drive, I receive a read error. I can continue anyway but whenever I try to play from folder, nothing happens. I tried burning to a disc as well and when putting it in a DVD player it loads, says play, then immediately stops. It seems the issue is related to the movies. The first movie is Madagascar from DreamWorks and also Chronicles of Narnia.

After the first failed Madagascar I asked a friend who also owned it if I could borrow theirs to try (thinking maybe my disc was defective). I had the same exact errors with the other DVD.

I have tried both movies in different scenarios. I typically just use DVD Decrypter and rip to hard disk and then burn from Intervideo DVD Copy 2. I installed AnyDVD and had the same issues. I tried also using the ripper built into AnyDVD - same deal. I then tried using CloneDVD with and without AnyDVD enabled. After this, I figured I'd eliminate the possibility of a drive issue so I tried the same discs in my sister's Dell laptop with the same results. I also tried installing my old Acer DVD-ROM drive in the desktop and, again, had the same issues. My primary burner/reader is a Phillips DVD+/-R drive.

Are there any known issues that would be preventing me from doing this?

Thanksin advance for any help!

Both of those movies have Ripguard on them. You can try using DVDFab Decrypter and then run this file through VobBlanker and burn with your favorite burning program. Guide here

You can get the sw here.

Or you can use new program RipIt4Me which will integrate with DVD Decrypter and import a PSL file into Decrypter, then rip and then another program FixVTS will clean up the file and Shrink will open. Guide and sw here.

Or when using the AnyDVD ripper did you make sure you checked the remove blank and unreferenced cells box. This may clean up the bad cells in the movie.
