I have recently purchased a Sansa 160, the software will work for your. If you still want it I will set up a post on minova.

Also I'm on an IBM and the conversion sofware will only write Apple .mov files.

I'm in need of something that can convert Windows .wma into a .mov file. Help appreciated. (the convesion software is two pickles short)

Yes will get it set up and drop a note to you.
The converter is not up to much I should warn you. I took it off my machine (XP Pro) MS Media V 10 has a much better platform to do this on. My intrest was getting my albums onto the ScanDisk and after I finished reading the instruction (finally) I figured it was crap.
The .mov and .wmv are both movie file formats, not audio!

As is Mpg1, 2 and 4 and that is all it will convert onto the scan disk, which is all movie files. I have no wish to watch a movie the size of a postage stamp.

If you are trying to move your audio across I can talk you through that if you are on IBM.

I wanted the converter to try converting some video and photos to put in the sansa. I am not interested in watching videos too, but I'd like to give a try. The only thing I can transfer to the player are songs, since I don't have the media converter. I use Windows Media to transfer songs and have no problem using it.. Thanks!

I have just made a download, just started, on http://www.mininova.org/

My end shows I'm uploading to http://my.tracker:6969/announce

First time I have orginated one, it shows nothing downloading yet. Perhaps if you went onto Minova and pulled a search on "Sansa Media Converter" it may ping my machine to pick it up a bit.

Will leave it plugged in over the next couple days.
Let me know if you find it.

I really appreciate your help! Unfortunately I searched for the sansa media converter on mininova and didn't find it. My guess is that the easiest way to upload the file is http://rapidshare.de/ . I use it and it works well, you just need to upload the file and they give you the download link. If you have a time, could you please upload it on rapidshare? Thank you very much!!

Okay! It is uploaded on the site you suggested but in a "torrent" format. It should unpack okay with any kind of a torrent program.

On the other hand, if it doesn't is there a way to down load the dozen or so files on the CD? The site you gave me will not accept a folder.

I could make a dozen downloads if you like and leave you copies of the names.
Let me know.
