Use ultraiso to open it and or convert it to .iso. Is this .bin file you acquired supposed to be a game?

Did you try ultraiso. That proggie is the one I ALWAYS use to convert bins and it has never failed me. Although with psp games it could be different. You could try converting it to .iso then extracting all the files and then rebuilding it with vcdromx 3.6. Thats all I can come up with so far. Also can WinRAR extract the files out of the .bin, have you tried that? I would try it but I have no .bin files on hand to test it with.

What is the size of it....hover over it with your mouse and tell me what the size of it is. Like is it megabytes or kilobytes?

Thats why I recommended it :). Also for future reference I think, dont quote me becuase there is a good chance im wrong, but i think .sfo files are like text files but with .sfo at the end. Rename it to .txt and try to open it and tell me what happens.

I can open it in a txt extension but there are some random characters and I can't really tell what to edit, so I changed it back to .sfo

you shouldnt have trouble converting it becuase its a PSP game becuase PSP uses the ISO standard.

I didn't want to open a new thread but do you know how to open .psp files. I need it because I was trying to make an ebooy loader without using GTA by putting in a disc id from the loco roco demo. Apprently the disc id isn't in the special signature by sony. Ithink it is in the .psp file but i can't open it. PLEASE HELP!!!
Thx in advance.

Sorry to burst your bubble but that wont work. Thats why sony implemented signed code. Once you alter it it becomes unsigned and the psp wont load it unless your on 1.5.

No you see you cant open up homebrew eboot.pbp but you can open sony made eboot.pbps why cause sony gives them a special code. when I used pbpexplore I found a file that may contain the code. The file is .psp but I cant Open it!! If I could we could all have pbps that open in any firmware.
