Running 360 Through DVD Player Speakers

is it possible to run the audio into your dvd player speakers through the outputs on the back of it?

connect the red and white wires from the 360 to the auxillary port of the dvd player

most likely your dvd player hooks up to a reciever which hooks up to your surround sound. The outputs on a dvd player are for "output" unless you have inputs on the back of your dvd player.... I know my dvd players only has outputs, therefore i cannot run sound through my dvd player. I connect the audio video to my tv, and run the tv sound outputs to my reciever, giving me surround sound.
