Hi, I have tried to modify the firmware on an hitatchi 47d drive.

To get the drive in to mode b I used the slax cd which worked.

I used the flash utility treme firmware for Hitachi v36 / v46 / v47 / v59 XBox 360 V1.1.

Wehn I try a backup it doesnt recognise a the disc, the disc perfectly works on my samsung xbox360.

I then tried to restore the firware, it simply hangls on the checksum, the hdd light constantly remains on and computer freezes. I've then tried the birdy flasher but it wont let me flash becasue of my exisiting xtreme firware.

Please help.

Are retail games working? If so then it's probably a media/burner issue. What error are you getting?

Hi, media games are working.

The backups work on another xbox which has a samsung drive fine.

Any ideas why I cant revert back?

Is it because I put the sata to auto when rebooting th4e pc? if I dont do this then it wont stop booting from the slax cd.

It won't reflash because it's already has the Xtreme firmware on there. The Samsung drive reads media ALOT better than the Hitachi drive. A backup that works on a Samsung won't necessarily work on a Hitachi. If you flashed it and retail games work you need to switch burners most likely or possibly media. If you really want to restore do it with the files in another directory and do it in safe mode.
