I have Nero 6 and on Nero Vision it says I can burn any type of media file to SVCD and it will automaticlly change format during the burning process. So howcome it doesn't let me burn AVI files

Hello.

Maybe I'm not interpreting your question correctly, but an AVI file would simply be burned as a data DVD. There would be no need to use NeroVision to make a DVD compliant DVD.
