alright i hate to ask this, but i read the faq and it said in order to plays games with swap magic you need a mod chip. i used to play games with the swap magic cd, not dvd, and they worked. now that i have a dvd burner i want to play dvd games. so will it still work or do i need a mod chip? thanks

No... you need swap magic OR modchip, not both.

Hate it break it to you, but PS2 already comes with a DVD reader that you can play DVD games with... so I'm not sure what your DVD player is going to do for you

wow i have no clue what was wrogn with me last night, i guess just tired. i meant to say dvd burner, not player. but i guess i can play backup dvds right
