Sorry? Whats the point you're trying to make in your post, cos it appears you're making a statement of fact, rather than asking for help as the topic title suggests.

Sorry, my bad, I misread it. Yes, with CDVDGenerator 2.0, there is that option. However I don't know of any program that will build the required iso for you once you extract the iml, cos Gnie's IML2ISO for PS2 doesnt support DVD9 as far as I'm aware. Maybe Apache will do it?

Yes there is, it's called something like " make DVD-9 boot disc"
But I don't know why you would want this, you have to have a modchip that'll boot DVD-9 backups for it to work anyway.. and with a good modchip all you have to do is copy and burn the ISO to a DVD-9 disc anyway and not use CD/DVD gen at all... and even with some of the lesser modchips all you have to do is use the sonix dual layer patcher program before burning the disc.

yeah, but when i burn with Nero, it never seems to read the second layer of the disc, containing the movies and whatever else. when i burn i go: Nero BURNING ROM>>COPY DVD>> then i insert the disc and burn it, but it doesnt work. all my settings are set to default, if it helps

Maybe your version of Nero doesn't have DL DVD9 support, and you might need to upgrade? You could try just making an iso image, then opening it in Apache to see if its got the 2nd layer. If it has then Nero supports it, but your chip doesn't.
Did you try with DVDecrypter instead?

well, yeah i have Nero 7.2.0.3 the second to latest version. i can support dvd dl's, so can my ps2. the chip was $200 AU (australian dollar). but when i burnt to dl, i started the game up, the ps2 logo appeared, then the disclaimer, saying all logos, etc. are property of sony, blah, blah, blah. then just before the opening video it stops. i know it won't work because the second layer of the original contains the videos. so, maybe i have to check an option in Nero or some thing to make it read two layers. or maybe i could use apache, extract, go to cd/dvd gen make an iml, convert then see if it will work. but, i want you to tell me what would be best
